Quick Write: College Scholarships

I think there is a scholarship for everything.  Each morning in my first period we go through a bulletin that has a list of scholarships.  Wow!  Some of the qualifications are... different!  Also, there are a few slide shows on Seventeen with some very interesting scholarships.  The most unique to me was a $5,000 (I'm pretty sure, don't quote me on it though!) scholarship for you and your prom date creating and wearing a duck tape dress and/or suit to your prom.  There most definitely is a scholarship for everyone.  (:

Brand of Beauty: Alice + Olivia

Hey!  I have been drooling over Alice + Olivia designs for years!  Sadly, even if you wait for the pieces to go on sale their still pricey so this beautiful brand isn't tucked away in my closet! :(  Even if I'm not up to spending that much, I still love to turn to their latest collections for inspiration.

I think this dress from the 2011 Fall Collection is adorable!  Also, how easy is it to buy a cream lace top and tuck it into a black A-line skirt!

Abandonment-Sorry!

Hello!  I just started my blog and I have already neglected it!  Sorry!  Last week I was at the last horse show of the year and my goodness it was exhausting!  On Monday we got home around 2:30 a.m. and I only got a few hours of sleep before school. grrr. :/  Then, high school dropped a bomb of make-up work on me, but I am back!  Hopefully I will be getting a post up every other day at least now, so be on the lookout!  Feel free to e-mail me with requests or just comment (:

Gossip Girl Inspired: Serena Van Der Woodsen

Has anyone else discovered the pure magic of Gossip Girl?  Gossip Girl is a drama about the privileged kids of the Upper-East Side.  With stars like Blake Lively and Leighton Meester it is one of my favorite TV series to watch, along with Glee, Pretty Little Liars, and Make it or Break it.  I can always find inspiration while watching the show, along with getting sucked in to all of the occurring drama! 

Not only is their wardrobe inspiring, but their makeup and hair!  So effortlessly chic and perfect all the time.  Now, if anyone in the real world tried to pull of Blair's headbands and Serena's bedhead look we would probably all just end up looking silly.  However, there are a few unique things I think us commoners could pull off!

 I love the ease of this, it's a little of everything.  Daring, polished, and feminine, I think this could easily be achieved with a fitted blazer and a sparkly racerback tank.  Some look-a-like options could be:

Some Fun Facts About Me (:

Hello!  Hope everyone had a good Thursday, it's almost Friday!  (Yay!)  My first post is just going to be some random things about me before I get into the fashion posts etc.
Fun Facts:
1) I love animals!  I have dogs, horses, cats, a sheep, and well goldfish if they count.   (They don't do much, except swim in circles.)
2) I was really into bright, neon colors, but I now love zebra print and other random black and white print things.  My room is decked out in black and white decor and I am totally loving it!
3) My favorite color is purple, but I barely own any purple clothes.

4) I show Paint/Pinto horses around my state and out of state.  Above is a picture of my horse, Guess.
5) I just started high school, go freshman!
6) I love having my nails different colors every week.
7) I think my favorite thing I own is a pair of black below-the-knee Steve Madden boots.  I can wear anything with them and they make my entire overall look so much more polished!
